About The Position

The Cashier - Cage position is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of financial transactions within the casino cage. This role requires strict adherence to all policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of customer service, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of guest information. The Cashier will manage a bankroll, process various financial instruments, and comply with all regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Company & Department Policies and Procedures and Title 31 requirements of which annual training must be completed and passed.

Responsibilities

  • Complies at all times with regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.

  • Verifies documents and exchanges currency, coin, coupons, gaming chips, and related documents associated with the Cashier Cage.
  • Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports as well as ensuring all logs/forms are filled out completely and accurately.
  • Transports funds to and from the Cashier Cage for replenishment purposes.
  • Responsible for maintaining their bank, equipment and surrounding area.
  • Keeps all information concerning guests confidential.
  • Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Promotes teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and all co-workers.
  • Exchanges gaming chips and/or tickets for cash
  • Processes Chip Transfers to/from Fill Banks/Main Bank
  • Processes Front Money Deposits and Withdrawals for Guest at Cage
  • Ensures compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
  • Complete Currency Transaction Reports, Notice of Suspicious Transaction, W-2G Tax forms and Multiple Transaction Log/Non-Negotiable Instruments Log.
  • Accurate record keeping at all times.
  • Reports to Cage Cashier Supervisor/above, responsible for safe and efficient operation of assigned Cage Cashier window and related areas, including daily operation, administration, maintenance and protection of the cashier bank roll.
  • Follows Cage & Count Operations Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for all cash, coin, chips, coupons and cash equivalents in the Cashier Cash Bank.
  • Knowledge of Company & Department Policies and Procedures and Title 31 requirements of which annual training must be completed and passed.
  • Monitors and reconciles the cage machinery using proper Policies and Procedures.
  • Verifies documents and exchanges currency, coin, gaming chips, coupons or other cash equivalents and related documents associated with the machinery.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
