Village Grille Cashier/Attendant
About The Position
Luther Village, an active 55+ retirement community in Arlington Heights, is currently looking for individuals with a positive attitude who are team players, enjoy working with seniors, and are personable. Enjoy a work-life balance with day hours in a non-tipping environment with consistent hourly pay. Be part of a team with the unique opportunity to connect with residents and help create resident experiences in a positive and fun work environment. The candidate should have flexibility to work shift(s) Monday through Saturday – 9 am - 2:30 pm. Must be 18 years or older. Customer service is a priority, and attention to detail is required. Responsible for taking accurate dinner orders, utilizing a computerized point-of-sale system, and communicating accurately with the kitchen. Restaurant experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Position pays $15/hour.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school-level reading, writing, and communication skills in English are required.
- Good customer service, order and table organization, and attention to detail are required.
- Positive attitude, professional image, team player, personable, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
- Extensive walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
