About The Position

The Cashier Assistant (Front End) role involves assisting cashiers by packing member orders, performing general upkeep of the front-end area, and providing excellent member service. This position requires attention to detail in packing, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to efficiently retrieve items and carts to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Oklahoma ABLE Alcohol Beverage License prior to starting position.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
• Open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Packs member orders into boxes and transfers items to a separate cart for cashiers.
• Performs clean-up, cart retrieval, merchandise restocking, and runs for items as directed.
• Provides a high level of member service.
• Greets members, helps members load orders onto the conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, and thanks members.
• Assists the cashier by counting items left in the cart, checking under items, and positioning them for scanning.
• Checks packaging for tampering.
• Follows all safety and security procedures and proper departmental procedures.
• Assists members loading orders into their cars when appropriate.
• Runs for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly.
• Maintains cleanliness of the register area and general front-end area.
• Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Retrieves carts and flatbeds from the parking area using a rope with a clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 carts together.
• Keeps the lot area free of debris and sweeps in front of the building.
• Performs set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
