About The Position

The Cashier Assistant (Front End) role involves assisting cashiers by packing member orders into boxes, transferring items to a separate cart for cashiers, and performing various support duties to ensure efficient front-end operations. This position requires a high level of member service and adherence to safety and departmental procedures. The role may also involve assisting in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
• Open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Packs member orders into boxes and transfers items to a separate cart for cashiers.
• Performs clean-up, cart retrieval, merchandise restocking, and runs for items as directed.
• Greets members, helps members load orders, determines packing preferences, answers questions, and provides information on special promotions.
• Assists cashiers by counting items left in carts, checking under items, and positioning them for scanning.
• Checks packaging for tampering.
• Follows all safety and security procedures and proper departmental procedures.
• Assists members loading orders into their cars when appropriate.
• Retrieves carts and flatbeds from the parking area.
• Keeps the lot area free of debris and sweeps in front of the building.
• Performs set up and closing duties for the department, including returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
