The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is looking for a Cash Operations Supervisor to join our Los Angeles office. In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to operational excellence in the distribution and processing of U.S. currency, leveraging advanced authentication and piece-sorting technology. Requirements

  • 3+ years in cash or related business operations; 1+ years leading teams
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven leadership in production, manufacturing, or supply chain settings
  • Adaptable, decisive, and comfortable making recommendations amid ambiguity
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Skilled in critical thinking, problem-solving, and clear communication
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to identify trends and solutions
  • Background in risk management or compliance
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels
  • Experience developing and implementing new policies/procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
  • Able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Supervise distribution and processing activities, optimizing staff, inventory, and machine use to meet deadlines and performance metrics (quality, cost, efficiency and effectiveness)
  • Contribute to short- and long-term team goals and monitor progress
  • Create, communicate and maintain quality control policies and procedures to ensure risk management compliance
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop corrective action plans
  • Mentor and coach team members for career growth
  • Train staff on equipment, systems, compliance, and procedural updates
  • Identify and implement solutions to improve production, reduce risk, and boost engagement
  • Ensure customer/vendor adherence to service levels and contractual obligations
  • Resolve operational issues across machines, inventory, transactions, and settlements
  • Collaborate with peers and partners to develop operational solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
