Join our team as a Cash Management Specialist, where you'll play a critical role in daily cash operations, bank reconciliations, treasury activities, and transactional accounting across multiple entities and banking platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent related experience required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in cash management, treasury operations, transactional accounting, or a related finance function.
  • Experience managing bank reconciliations and high-volume cash transactions.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Power Query
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with Yardi or comparable general ledger/accounting software.
  • Familiarity with banking portals and treasury management systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles related to cash and banking activities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.

  • Exposure to multi-entity accounting environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts.
  • Initiate and record electronic payments, including wire transfers, ACH transactions, tax payments, and other disbursements.
  • Create and maintain taxing authority profiles.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of cash transactions in the general ledger.
  • Process stop payments and related accounting entries.
  • Determine appropriate cash accounts and general ledger coding for invoice processing.
  • Manage and process requests through the company's internal cash management platform.
  • Research, resolve, and record bank reconciliation items.
  • Maintain daily cash logs and review unrecorded transactions.
  • Record and reconcile cash receipts, disbursements, and intercompany transfers.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and cash-related accounting adjustments.
  • Analyze cash positions and process funding transactions associated with investor distributions.
  • Record monthly investor distribution payments.
  • Support month-end close activities related to cash and banking transactions.
  • Prepare monthly cash transaction and investor sales reconciliation reports.
  • Open and close bank subaccounts and escrow-related accounts.
  • Allocate daily cash transactions across multiple banking relationships.
  • Review positive-pay exceptions and determine when to approve, escalate, or halt potentially suspicious transactions.
  • Implement and maintain positive-pay rules across banking platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on treasury automation and process improvements.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
  • Prepare month-end reports for interest income and banking fees.
  • Generate treasury reports and perform ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash transactions and accounting records.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline cash management and accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
