About The Position

The Accounting Operations Manager oversees daily accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This role manages a team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities while driving process improvements and adherence to internal controls.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms.
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience with process improvement and workflow optimization.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Leadership and team management skills, with ability to mentor and develop staff.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process improvements.
Proficiency with financial systems and ERP platforms.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

CPA certification preferred but not required.
Additional accounting or finance-related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Develop, implement, and monitor process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing direction, training, and performance management.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and respond to inquiries.
Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses for management.
Maintain and enforce strong internal control environment to mitigate risks.
Collaborate across departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial activities.
