About The Position

The Global Cash Applications team, part of Shared Services, is responsible for processing cash application postings across multiple international markets. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely allocation of customer payments that cannot be automatically processed. The analyst will collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams, reporting to the Global Cash Application Manager. This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days per week at an assigned TransUnion office location, with the remainder of the work performed virtually.

Requirements

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft (ERP system).
  • Experience with Salesforce (CRM platform).
  • Familiarity with banking platforms and reconciliation tools (e.g., Bank of America systems).
  • Strong data analysis and reconciliation capabilities using financial systems.
  • 3+ years of Accounts Receivable (A/R) experience.
  • Strong understanding of cash application processes, billing adjustments, and reconciliation practices.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments.
  • Knowledge of audit processes and financial controls.

  • Experience supporting global or multi-region cash application processes.
  • Exposure to system testing, process improvement, or automation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with workflow management in Salesforce or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key liaison between Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve cash application and accounts receivable (A/R) issues.
  • Analyze and process complex cash applications and billing adjustments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for unapplied cash, misapplied payments, and discrepancies, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support month-end close activities by reconciling cash-related balances with Shared Services Accounting.
  • Review and verify live checks received in the mailroom for timely and accurate deposits.
  • Manage Salesforce workflow queues and A/R inquiries, prioritizing requests and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Perform monthly security deposit reviews and allocations in accordance with internal policies.
  • Validate ticket accrual reports and submit accurate documentation to Finance by close deadlines.
  • Participate in system testing for new integrations and enhancements.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation and responding to audit requests.
