About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to support the Accounts Receivable function for a growing organization in the manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for processing and applying customer payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial records.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in cash applications, payment posting, or Accounts Receivable
• Experience working in a high-volume transaction environment, preferably within large or mid-sized organizations handling multi-million-dollar revenue streams
• Proven ability to manage and apply large volumes of cash receipts with accuracy and efficiency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Post and apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check, lockbox) in a timely manner
• Perform daily cash application and account reconciliations
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer account records
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues
• Assist with month-end close activities and reporting
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
