About the Role: Cash Application Specialist performs all cash applications functions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 year of related experience
Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm
Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
All employees must uphold the confidentiality of protected health information and follow all HIPAA policies.
This position has access to sensitive information and a breach of information may be grounds for immediate termination.

Responsibilities

Responsible for timely keying of daily deposits.
Coordinate balancing of daily deposits.
Ensure keying of appropriate insurance adjustments.
Review of Explanation of Benefits to determine correct amount of patient co-pays and correct insurance payment.
Review of non-payment Explanation of Benefits and post appropriate denial codes.
Participate in end-of-month closing procedures.
