About the Role: Cash Application Specialist performs all cash applications functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm
  • Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
  • All employees must uphold the confidentiality of protected health information and follow all HIPAA policies.
  • This position has access to sensitive information and a breach of information may be grounds for immediate termination.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely keying of daily deposits.
  • Coordinate balancing of daily deposits.
  • Ensure keying of appropriate insurance adjustments.
  • Review of Explanation of Benefits to determine correct amount of patient co-pays and correct insurance payment.
  • Review of non-payment Explanation of Benefits and post appropriate denial codes.
  • Participate in end-of-month closing procedures.
