Cash Application Specialist

Krause Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cash Application Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting dealership operations, and ensuring timely processing of customer and account payments. Requirements
- 1+ year of automotive accounting experience required
- Knowledge of CDK required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy with financial information
Nice To Haves
- BA in Accounting preferred
Responsibilities
- Receipt and process cash, checks, credit card payments, and bank transactions accurately
- Complete journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain and monitor AR aging schedules and follow up on past-due accounts
- Prepare and send monthly statements to customers, fleet accounts, and wholesale accounts
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and customer balance issues
- Apply account adjustments, write-offs, and refunds in accordance with dealership policies
- Reconcile account balances and ensure accuracy of receivable records
- Assist with month-end closing and accounting support functions as needed
- Work closely with accounting, sales, service, and management teams
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Assist with audits and reporting requests as needed
- Support dealership accounting operations with additional administrative tasks
