About The Position
The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Caseworker to join their Diversion, Shelter and Housing (DSH) program. This caseworker will be working with people who have been homeless or unhoused. The Caseworker will be part of the Rapid Supported Housing team, a 23-bed housing program for individuals experiencing homelessness. Using a Housing First, harm-reductive, and trauma-informed approach, the program aims to meet individuals where they are, support and stabilize them, and help them graduate to more independent living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Required valid Massachusetts driver’s license with ability to pass background driving record check
- Required vehicle readily available on site and throughout all work hours
- Approved criminal background check (CORI)
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring population preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution preferred
- Substance abuse and mental health experience preferred
- Multiple years of experience in case management and social services preferred
