Caseworker - Teen Services
About The Position
The Teen Services Caseworker provides comprehensive case management and housing-related services while ensuring the safety of clients and program spaces; participates in program coverage and outreach activities; ensures the collection, documentation and reporting of information and data as required; and works as a member of the Teen Services team to support and achieve outcomes aligned with program goals and the agency mission. The population served includes youth between the ages of 12-21 who are currently homeless or experiencing housing instability. This is a full-time, 2nd shift position with a Sunday to Thursday, 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field of study, or comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
- Understanding of the Preble Street mission, Harm Reduction, Housing First, and social and economic justice including the role of policy advocacy throughout all programs and positions.
- Understanding and positive regard for individuals experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must hold certification or become certified in First Aid and CPR (on-site training opportunities offered).
- Must provide proof of education (diploma or transcript).
- Must have acceptable background check results, including BMV.
- Must attend recurrent, regularly scheduled trainings provided on-site.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field of study, or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and 2-3 years relevant experience is preferred.
