About The Position

This opportunity is designed for individuals actively completing coursework to become a BCBA and accruing practicum hours. It offers a chance to get paid while building the clinical skills needed to become a BCBA. The Case Supervisor role aims to develop foundational skills for a successful BCBA career, with structured supervision, coaching, and hands-on clinical experience. This role reports to the Local Clinical Trainer, a BCBA, at the assigned clinic and is part of Soar’s Apex Program, an enhanced development pathway for future BCBAs. The Apex Program is designed to elevate the development and support of Case Supervisors as they build clinical readiness, accrue practicum hours, and pursue a long-term career as a BCBA. This role is for practicum students earlier in their BCBA journey, generally more than 6-9 months away from completing BCBA requirements. Participants receive enhanced development, ongoing supervision, clinical training, and opportunities to connect with other Case Supervisors across Soar. There is an opportunity for promotion to Lead Case Supervisor when within 6 months of testing.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in ABA or a related field that meets BCBA coursework requirements.
• Must be at least in the second semester of a master’s or certificate program.
• Actively accruing practicum hours toward BCBA certification.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with children and families.
• Emerging skills in case conceptualization, client programming, and clinical planning.
• Emerging skills in coaching and supporting RBTs.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and receive feedback.
• Commitment to Soar’s mission and values.
• Interest in growing into a future BCBA role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a case supervisor for client cases, with scope determined by center needs, clinical readiness, and program progress.
• Accrue paid unrestricted hours through client programming, supervision, family guidance, assessment, and other BCBA-aligned responsibilities.
• Update client goals and programming using Soar’s electronic data collection platform.
• Provide support and supervision to RBTs, with coaching and feedback from BCBAs.
• Participate in ESDM-specific trainings to grow clinical skillset.
• Learn to develop Behavior Intervention Plans using approaches such as Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Treatment.
• Support family treatment guidance meetings using Soar’s in-house curriculum.
• Assist with assessments and reassessments for clients, including exposure to tools such as the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and ESDM Curriculum Checklist.
• Receive coaching and feedback from Local Clinical Trainer, Partner Clinician, and other BCBAs in the clinic.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other members of the integrated care team.
• Provide direct client therapy as part of the full-time role, with the weekly mix of direct therapy and unrestricted activities determined by center needs and program progress.
