About The Position

This position is for a Case Picker on the C shift, working Friday through Sunday from 6 AM to 6 PM. The role involves picking cases safely, efficiently, and accurately using a handheld scanner with the warehouse management system. It also includes moving product through the warehouse, picking and placing pallets correctly according to Tyson Guidelines, and occasionally removing plastic wrap from pallets. The position requires effective communication with leadership regarding any difficulties or discrepancies, and adherence to all safety and policy procedures set by Tyson Foods. Additionally, the role involves ensuring product quality, authenticity, and legality, completing Annual Food Defense Training, promoting a safe work environment, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift. This position is currently open only to team members working at the Ottawa, IL facility. Interested team members from other Tyson facilities should contact their local HR Partner.

Responsibilities

Pick cases safely, efficiently, and accurately using a handheld scanner with the warehouse management system.
Move product through the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.
Pick and place pallets accurately and within Tyson Guidelines to avoid dumps or askew pallets.
Remove plastic wrap on occasion prior to depositing pallets.
Communicate effectively and timely to leadership as you encounter difficulties or discrepancies.
Follow all safety and policy procedures as set forth by Tyson Foods.
Ensure that all product quality, authenticity and legality procedures are followed.
Complete Annual Food Defense Training.
Ensure safety processes are being followed consistently promoting a safe work environment.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Clean as you go throughout your work shift.
