About The Position

The Case Picker I is responsible for receiving and logging batches of pick tickets corresponding to customer orders. This role involves picking customer orders in case quantities, accurately labeling products with pick tickets and shipping labels, and loading products onto conveyors or into loading operations. The position requires verification of product information against location labels and pick tickets to ensure high accuracy. Daily production records must be maintained and reviewed by a supervisor. The Case Picker I is also responsible for proper disposal of packaging materials to maintain a safe and clean work environment and may participate in special projects or perform other duties as required. Meeting company standards for quantity and quality of work, adhering to all company policies and procedures, and maintaining professional workplace behavior are essential.

Requirements

  • Good reading, writing, math and skills.
  • Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
  • Detail oriented and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).
  • Lift, carry or move products up to: 0-50 lb. Frequent 51-75 lb. Occasional
  • Walk on concrete floors frequently.
  • Gripping, pushing, pulling and fine hand manipulation continuously.
  • Twist or bend torso continuously.
  • Climb ladders occasionally.
  • Handling tools frequently (Utility knife, Pallet Jack).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and logs out batches of pick tickets, corresponding to customer orders.
  • Picks customer orders in the form of case quantities.
  • Labels products appropriately with the pick tickets and shipping (UPS) tracking labels.
  • Loads products to the conveyor or to the loading operation as appropriate.
  • Verifies product information on location labels and pick tickets to maintain high accuracy.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily individual production records, which are reviewed by the supervisor, by writing down the time particular tasks are performed.
  • Disposes of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
  • Meets company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis.
  • Performs all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards.
  • Adheres to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
