About The Position

Provide trauma-informed case management, advocacy, and service coordination to survivors and their children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking while residing in emergency shelter. This role assesses survivor needs, develops and monitors individualized service plans, collaborates with internal teams and community partners, and supports stabilization, safety, and long-term recovery through a survivor-centered approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or related human services field required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care and working with individuals impacted by trauma and co-occurring conditions.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability; ability to pass background checks (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or license-eligible
  • CDCA certification and experience in victim advocacy

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed case management and confidential support, including crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, and follow-up services
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans that support overall stability, including housing, mental health, employment, safety, and access to resources.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and compile reports in alignment with program requirements and outcomes
  • Facilitate workshops and skill-building activities to promote self-sufficiency, daily living skills, and long-term stability
  • Support shelter operations through client engagement, conflict resolution, de-escalation, and team-based coverage as needed
  • Collaborate closely with Family Services staff to support the needs of youth and families in shelter, including coordination of services, engagement in programming, and reinforcement of trauma-informed approaches
  • Partner with internal teams and community providers to coordinate services and ensure continuity of care for survivors and families
  • Adheres to Service Excellence standards at all times.
  • Represent the organization in community events, coalitions, and taskforces as assigned.
  • Complies with agency policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, CARF standards and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
