About The Position

Responsible for coordinating case management, prevention, and community outreach services aimed at youth and at-risk populations. Facilitates educational workshops and community activities in schools, universities, and other settings, using dynamic strategies and evidence-based models to promote mental health, substance use prevention, and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a social service or human behavior field, preferred.
  • Experience offering and creating educational and preventive workshops.
  • Ability to work with youth and communities in different settings.
  • Capacity to understand and serve participants with mental health and substance use needs.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support services.
  • Good communication skills, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in coordinating community activities, outreach, or educational events.
  • Ability to work with large groups and diverse youth and community populations.
  • Availability to work special events, weekends, or extended hours as programmatically needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as part of the interdisciplinary case management and prevention team.
  • Participates in agency case management activities and completes required documentation within established timelines.
  • Designs, coordinates, and implements educational, preventive, and awareness workshops targeting youth, families, and communities in various settings such as schools, universities, community centers, and special events.
  • Coordinates logistics, schedules, and resources necessary for conducting workshops, orientations, and community activities.
  • Facilitates dynamic and interactive workshops using creative and participatory strategies adapted to the needs of the target population.
  • Conducts community outreach activities to promote agency services, programs, and activities.
  • Actively participates in large-scale activities, health fairs, community events, educational campaigns, and community-directed prevention efforts.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with schools, universities, agencies, and community organizations to strengthen available services and resources for participants.
  • Develops and utilizes innovative educational materials and activities that promote prevention, mental health, emotional well-being, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Applies evidence-based models and practices in the planning and implementation of interventions and educational activities.
  • Conducts needs assessments and participates in the development of individualized service plans when required.
  • Ensures compliance with requirements established by funders and the agency related to documentation, reporting, and programmatic compliance.
  • Works effectively under pressure and manages multiple tasks and activities simultaneously.
  • Participates in required agency trainings, meetings, and professional development activities.
