About The Position

The Residential Corrections Case Manager provides individualized case management and supportive services to residents in a residential corrections setting. This position plays an important role in helping residents understand expectations, address barriers, develop positive behaviors, and work toward successful completion of their residential program. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll build professional relationships with residents, monitor progress, coordinate services, facilitate programming, and help residents develop the skills and accountability needed for successful transition.

Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field, or equivalent work experience as permitted or required by applicable regulatory bodies.
Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.

Nice To Haves

CDCA or other specialty certification may be required depending on program or regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintain an assigned caseload and provide consistent, structured case management services to residents.
Conduct resident interviews and administer assessments and screening instruments under appropriate supervision.
Assess resident needs, strengths, behaviors, and progress to help determine appropriate services and interventions.
Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with residents and the treatment/corrections team.
Monitor progress toward service plan goals and make updates or recommendations based on resident performance and changing needs.
Utilize core correctional practices to promote accountability, skill development, positive decision-making, and behavior change.
Provide ongoing support to residents throughout their participation in the residential program.
Assist residents with identifying and addressing barriers that may affect successful program completion.
Provide services that may include crisis intervention, advocacy, medication monitoring, budgeting assistance, housing planning, transportation assistance, and referrals to appropriate resources.
Reinforce program expectations, rules, behavioral standards, and accountability while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Lead educational groups and/or facilitate approved group curricula designed to support positive behavior change and successful reentry.
Monitor and document resident participation, behavior, progress, and service needs.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute relevant observations and recommendations regarding resident progress, service needs, and status changes.
Communicate effectively with corrections, clinical, administrative, and other program staff to support coordinated resident services.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies, program requirements, funding requirements, and applicable regulations.
Maintain required productivity and caseload standards.
Follow all safety procedures, professional standards, agency policies, and residential facility rules and regulations.
May provide transportation to residents as required by program operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
