About The Position

Devereux Florida is seeking a Case Management Support (Transporter) to join their team in Tampa, FL. This role is crucial for supporting Case Managers by safely and timely transporting clients (children, parents, or caregivers) to and from various appointments and activities, including medical, court, and family visitations. The position also involves assisting with the oversight of family visitations, documenting findings, and reporting them to the assigned Case Manager. Responsibilities may extend to transporting children to and from school, temporary placements, and caregivers during after-hours and weekends. This role requires flexibility in working early mornings, mid-days, and afternoons, with the ability to pick up unscheduled work. On-call duties for evenings and weekends are required on a rotational basis, and the employee may be called out in the event of an emergency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • One year experience in related field, working with children preferred
  • Knowledge of car seat types, installation and expiration dates
  • Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing
  • Must be able to complete a 3 day new hire orientation class (Monday - Wednesday); Hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
  • Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.

  • Bi-Lingual in English Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

  • Transporting clients (children, parents or caregivers) safely and timely to and from appointments and activities, including medical, court, family visitations, and others as needed.
  • Assisting with oversight of family visitations, documenting and providing findings to the assigned Case Manager.
  • Transporting children to and from school, temporary placements, caregivers after hours, and for weekend appointments as needed.
  • Being available for early morning hours, mid-day off, and afternoon shifts.
  • Picking up unscheduled work as unplanned needs may arise.
  • Being on-call for evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.
  • Responding to call-outs in the event of an emergency.
