About The Position

Under minimal supervision and in a professional and friendly manner, perform assigned job duties to the highest level of customer service and assistance to both internal and external customers of Memorial Care Medical Foundation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience with HMO’s/Managed Care with ability to read and interpret health plan benefit manuals, CPT and ICD information.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, follow through and attention to details
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (written and verbal) in English.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Medical Assistant training and certificate preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support and complete all required UM and CM functions as assigned and per department standards
  • Follow and meet all turnaround times and document accordingly.
  • Coordinate all care activities within scope of practice and as directed by Manager and associate unit staff.
  • Schedule and confirm all patient appointments per standard work
  • Record and maintain (all) logs as required by Health Plans.
  • Ability to problem solve to logical conclusion and demonstrate initiative and responsibility.
  • Be at work and be on time.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and directives.
  • Prioritize and multitask
  • Interact in a positive and professional manner.
