About The Position

Developmental Services Center (DSC) provides comprehensive services across the lifespan-from birth through adulthood-including family development, case management, employment, residential, respite, and community day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford Counties. If you have a degree in a human services field such as Sociology, Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Recreation, or a therapy-related field, or even a designation as a COTA, COME WORK WITH US as a Case Coordinator!

Requirements

At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with a developmental disability AND IS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: RN, COTA, OTA, PTA, SLP, Audiologist, Registered Dietician, Human Services Professional with a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, including, but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, recreation, art/dance/music or physical therapies.
Knowledge of community resources and a demonstrated capacity to work in collaboration with other human service professionals.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Coordination of a wide range of supports and services for people to whom we provide services.
Skills in service linkage, advocacy, documentation, securing and maintain entitlements and coordination of Individual Implementation Strategy.
