About The Position

Greenwich House is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Case Aide to join our Caregiver Program team. This role plays a vital part in supporting The Caregiver Program in Brooklyn ensuring compliance, supporting client engagement, and serving as a key partner to staff. The Caregiver case aide will perform administrative tasks, support with outreach, and is responsible for pre-screening calls; arranging services and reopening cases of clients to the Caregiver Services program.

Requirements

• BSW or other related BA in human services of family practice/gerontology or an associate’s degree in a related field with one year’s experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be computer literate, including ability to learn and use program-specific software.
• Good writing/recording skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Spanish, Russian helpful.
• May require heavy lifting including setting up tables, moving chairs, and other room set-ups for programs, climbing stairs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director with tracking and documenting respite and supplemental services.
• Follows up with clients regarding receipt of supplemental services.
• Conducts follow up calls with clients to ensure connection with program.
• Attends in-service training and staff meetings.
• Assists with program outreach as assigned.
• Explains and interprets the agency's programs and types of assistance available to callers; provides information and assistance.
• Uses computer to prepare letters, flyers, reports, etc.
• Assembles, collates and records statistical data.
• Regular and ongoing communication with social workers.
• Assists with and compiles monthly statistics and reports.
• Performs other related tasks as requested or assigned.
