About The Position

The Case Aide provides transportation, supervision of visits for children and families within the ECH program, and other support for the Foster Care Case Management (FCCM) program. The Case Aide reports to the Foster Care Case Manager Supervisor. This position requires travel throughout the state. The Case Aid provides transportation of clients to various appointments within the community. This includes supervising visitation between clients and their family. The role of this position when supervising visits is to help facilitate a positive and safe interaction within the visit. Using a trauma informed perspective, this position may require ensuring safety of the client during visitation, offering supportive parenting suggestions, de-escalation of emotional interactions. Interactions with clients and families must be in line with the mission and values of Every Child’s Hope.

  • Must be able to hear, see, talk, and sit or stand at a personal computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading.
  • Using hands to handle or feel, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl is occasionally needed.
  • Frequently lifting 25 pounds and occasionally lift 26 – 50 pounds.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience with children and families preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervised visitation for children and their families.
  • Transports clients to and from visits, foster care placements and other identified appointments.
  • Addresses parenting skills during visitation.
  • Promotes positive parenting and child development while reducing the risk of child maltreatment.
  • Assists case managers in locating resources, as appropriate.
  • Attends all necessary internal and external meetings, as appropriate.
  • Enters data into Missouri’s client data management system.
  • Attends and completes all required training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
