About The Position

WNA CPAs is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead client accounting and advisory services while working closely with clients and firm leadership across a variety of tax, accounting, and consulting engagements. This is more than a traditional accounting manager role. As our firm continues expanding its advisory and client accounting services, we are looking for someone who enjoys helping business owners make better decisions and improve financial visibility, developing staff, and building scalable systems that drive growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Five or more years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting systems, and business operations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to translate financial information into practical business insights

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, controllership, or similar leadership roles preferred
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary advisor for CAS clients
  • Meet regularly with business owners and management teams to discuss financial results and operational performance
  • Help clients understand key financial metrics, cash flow trends, and business opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and expand services
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting engagements
  • Review financial statements and supporting workpapers
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
  • Review work and provide coaching and technical guidance
  • Assist with workload planning and resource allocation
  • Help establish best practices and standardized procedures
  • Lead initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, and workflow improvement
  • Evaluate and implement accounting technology solutions
  • Develop scalable processes that support future growth
  • Assist clients with accounting system optimization and reporting enhancements
  • Participate in CAS proposals and onboarding of new clients
  • Identify opportunities for additional advisory and accounting services
  • Support the strategic growth of the firm’s CAS practice
