About The Position

The Carton Yard Loader works under general supervision and is responsible for loading and receiving supplies from field trucks and suppliers. The role also involves scanning and maintaining inventory using a mounted computer (THOR) to keep on-hand inventory records up to date.

Requirements

At least one year of forklift operating and driving experience is required.
Basic math and English reading skills are required.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in agriculture cooling, receiving, and shipping is preferred.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; continuing education may be required.
Basic knowledge of computers and warehouse inventory systems is preferred.
Ability to correctly use radio-frequency handheld devices is preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Load and receive field trucks with supplies in a timely manner.
Receive supplies from suppliers in a timely manner.
Ensure supplies are properly rotated and notify the supervisor when supply quantities are low.
Maintain accurate inventory quantities using mounted computers.
Assist with daily and/or monthly inventory counts.
Rotate inventory using FIFO.
Relocate unused and returned supplies to their proper inventory locations.
Keep the assigned work area clean.
Complete the daily equipment checklist.
Adhere to the assigned work schedule and be flexible about schedule changes as needed.
Attend monthly safety meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
