About The Position

The Carton and Package Material Handler job consists of receiving products used for manufacturing and placing them in the appropriate locations. Take samples of incoming products and rotate stock. Supply packaging machines with boxes and supplies. Transport material between buildings using company trucks. Transport supplies from local companies. Operate scanning guns to keep inventory and location raw and finished material up to date. Assist with loading or unloading of oil and some cleaning duties. Receive and distribute other deliveries as necessary.

  • Ability to operate Lift trucks, hand trucks.
  • Ability to drive a straight truck and dock and park semi- trailers safely.
  • Lift 78 pounds occasionally and lift uneven loads up to 50 lbs.
  • General/Basic math skills.
  • Accurately confirm product received.
  • Operate scanning guns.
  • Obtain and maintain DOT physical card, forklift, and electric hand truck certification.
  • The ability to safely dock and park semi-trailers.
  • Ability to safely operate straight truck.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Walk up and down stairs.
  • Wear PPE when required.
  • Cautiously work in areas with potentially slippery floors.
  • Walk and stand the entire workday.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Successfully complete exhibit knowledge of and adhere to all required training, policies, and procedures.
  • Work 40 plus hours per week and maintain a dependable attendance.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and successfully complete required tasks with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive raw materials, scan materials into the building and into appropriate storage location.
  • Cycle count boxes to maintain on- hand stock.
  • Create stickers and label pallets appropriately.
  • Rotate stock.
  • Pull samples of material received and bring them to lab.
  • Distribute incoming UPS deliveries.
  • Transport material to and from API location.
  • Use straight truck to pick up materials from FedEx or local supplier if needed and use semi and straight truck to transport material between buildings.
  • Assure receiving paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Assist with unloading of oil and loading of oil for shipment to Happy’s.
  • Supply packaging with corrugated and supplies.
  • Cleaning duties as needed.
