About The Position

Our mission as Cart Barn Ambassador is to create unforgettable family memories that keep our guests coming back for more. We are the friendly face of the resort and the team behind seamless rental experiences-from the moment guests check in to the moment they head out for their next adventure. From a facilities perspective, we keep the cart barn area clean, organized, and operationally ready so every rental is safe, charged, inspected, and delivered with confidence. In this role, you'll combine high-energy guest interaction with fast-paced operational excellence. You'll be responsible for keeping our golf carts and bike rentals running smoothly while supporting broader resort readiness-maintaining a clean work area, monitoring charging stations, organizing keys and accessories, and flagging maintenance issues before they impact guest experience. You help protect our assets by following inspection standards, documenting damage, and ensuring equipment is stored and secured properly. This position requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. You'll work outdoors in all weather conditions while maintaining a welcoming and professional presence at all times. You'll routinely walk and stand for extended periods, move carts and bikes, and complete light facilities tasks such as sweeping, pressure washing as needed, restocking supplies, and maintaining a tidy staging area. Weekends, holidays, and nights may be required based on occupancy and event schedules.

Requirements

  • Ability to work quickly, stay organized, and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
  • Comfortable using computers/tablets for data entry, tracking rentals, completing reports, and shift handoffs
  • Strong attention to detail for safety inspections, documentation, and asset care
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent guest service and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt throughout the day, including supporting other departments during peak periods
  • Ability to bend and lift 50 lbs. and safely move carts/bikes and related equipment
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn preventive checks, battery/charger basics, and safe tool use
  • Previous experience in hospitality, rentals, recreation, facilities, or customer service is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the face of the resort by delivering friendly, engaging, and helpful guest experiences at the cart barn and in the field
  • Manage daily golf cart and bike rentals, ensuring quick turnaround for back-to-back reservations and peak arrival/departure windows
  • Conduct documented pre- and post-rental inspections (tires, brakes, lights, horn, steering, seatbelts, mirrors, baskets, chargers) and immediately report safety concerns
  • Charge, clean, sanitize, and prepare all rental equipment to maintain quality, safety, and brand standards; stage units for efficient dispatch
  • Monitor and maintain the charging area (cord management, trip hazards, ventilation, GFCI awareness), ensuring safe and orderly operations
  • Track rental schedules and inventory (keys, chargers, helmets, locks, flags, signage), ensuring timely returns and immediate readiness for the next guest
  • Accurately complete all paperwork, logs, and computer entries related to rentals, incidents, damage, and maintenance requests
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle transactions responsibly; support resolution of guest billing questions per policy
  • Provide clear safety briefings and resort driving expectations, including speed limits, designated paths, parking rules, and charging/return procedures
  • Maintain cart barn cleanliness and curb appeal (sweeping, trash removal, pressure washing as needed), keeping the workspace guest-ready and OSHA-conscious
  • Coordinate with Maintenance/Facilities on repairs, battery performance issues, tire replacement, and preventive upkeep to reduce downtime
  • Support overall resort operations by assisting where needed, including: Refilling propane tanks (following approved safety procedures), Ice sales and restocking, Cleaning grills and common-use equipment, Creating and maintaining lists and spreadsheets for team coordination and shift handoffs
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding inventory levels, equipment status, guest concerns, and daily priorities
