About The Position

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. This is a seasonal position, estimated to pay $17.25/hr to $18.63/hr depending on qualifications and experience. The role requires the individual to be at least 18 years old and is only needed for the weekend of the 4th of July.

Responsibilities

• Collect shopping carriages from the parking lot and return them to the front of the store.
• Walk the parking lot to collect shopping carriages, only loading the maximum number of carriages.
• Be vigilant of moving cars and customers while proceeding through the parking lot.
• Ensure carriages are free of trash.
• Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Assist in other duties, as assigned.
• Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring that each customer feels welcome and appreciated.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store, offering assistance and support where needed.
• Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.
• Be a positive ambassador for the store, representing our S.T.E.W. values in all interactions with customers and team members.
