About The Position

The Boro is the side-door takeout arm of The Dixboro Project, an all-day café featuring wood-fired pizzas, takeaway meals, expertly baked goods, Roos Roast coffee, adult beverages, and more. Our service is guided by a commitment to excellence, working with synchronicity to stage and deliver a consistently excellent experience for each guest. Carry Out Team Members are at the center of that experience, combining guest service, coffee and beverage preparation, order accuracy, and product knowledge to ensure every guest leaves with exactly what they need. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a busy café setting, and takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

• Able to brew excellent coffee, tea, and serve quality beverages with efficiency.
• Must be a great team player to serve the team mission and each guest fully.
• Must have a good attitude towards change and ambiguity.
• High level of personal hygiene and personal presentation.
• Able to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in everything we do.
• Unwilling to compromise on our standards or accept short cuts.
• Consistent in performance and reliability.
• Able to work in sync with the flow of the restaurant.
• Must have weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in person and over the phone with warmth and professionalism while helping them navigate the menu.
• Recommend menu items, beverage pairings, seasonal features, and future experiences that enhance each guest's visit.
• Prepare high-quality coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages with consistency and attention to detail.
• Accurately process phone, online, and in-person orders while coordinating pickup and delivery.
• Stay organized in a fast-paced environment by prioritizing tasks and ensuring every order is complete and accurate.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized café while setting up teammates for success throughout the day.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and genuine hospitality in every guest interaction.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience while supporting café sales and retail offerings.
• Balance efficiency with friendly, attentive service while serving as one of the primary faces of The Boro.
