About The Position

Responsible for generating profitable capacity through the effective deployment of carrier sales resources for a specified region. Involved in developing performance goals for carrier sales and monitors performance on a continual basis. Manages the region to achieve objectives established in the Company’s Strategic Plan. Seeks out and targets new carriers, initiates an action plan to approach and secure profitable capacity for the Company. Ability to inspire others to share company vision and support them to reach company/individual goals. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Detailed understanding of the truckload industry to include equipment types, carrier capabilities, pricing and regulations
  • Strong understanding of US Geography
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focuses
  • Minimum 5+ years of transportation brokerage and /or logistics procurement experience required
  • Proficiency in utilizing industry capacity and pricing tools (DAT, GetLoaded, Truckstop, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • MUST COMPLETE PI ASSESSMENT IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION
  • Final candidate must successfully pass an E-Verify Check
