Requirements

0–5 years of carpet cleaning experience (commercial or residential); willing to train the right candidate
Ability to follow instructions, checklists, and safety procedures consistently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Comfort working independently and managing time effectively

Nice To Haves

Experience with professional carpet cleaning equipment and stain removal techniques
Familiarity with safe handling, dilution, and labeling of cleaning chemicals
Customer-service mindset and ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients
Experience working in commercial environments (offices, facilities, multi-unit properties)

Responsibilities

Perform carpet cleaning services using appropriate methods (e.g., hot water extraction, spot treatment, deodorizing) based on carpet type and job requirements
Pre-inspect areas, identify stains and high-traffic wear, and determine the best cleaning approach
Move, protect, and reset light furniture as needed; use corner guards and floor protection to prevent damage
Apply pre-sprays, spotters, and other solutions safely and according to label directions and company procedures
Operate and maintain carpet cleaning equipment (extractors, vacuums, hoses, wands, air movers) safely and correctly
Clean upholstery and area rugs when assigned, following fabric-care guidelines
Set up drying plans (air movers, ventilation) and communicate realistic dry times to clients when applicable
Follow site-specific checklists and quality standards to ensure consistent, presentation-ready results
Maintain a professional, respectful presence while working in occupied homes or businesses
Report equipment issues, supply needs, safety hazards, or unusual site conditions to a supervisor promptly
