About The Position

Qualified applicants will have experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway or Bridge Projects. Applicant must be familiar with working on heights and/or Manlifts. Must be able to work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal. This is a field-based role. Employees will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway or Bridge Projects.
• Familiar with working from heights and/or Manlifts.
• Able to work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal.
• Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment.
• Must be reliable/have reliable transportation.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Erect scaffolding, safety barricades, and temporary ladders or framework for elevated and below-ground operations.
• Read and interpret project plans, sketches, and specifications to determine exact dimensions and material requirements.
• Repair or replace damaged timber, steel, or concrete support structures on existing infrastructure.
• Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.
