This position involves performing tasks related to carpentry and physical labor at commercial construction sites, operating a variety of hand and power tools, and assisting or training other construction workers as needed.
Requirements
- Proper and safe use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction
- Various building types and construction methods
- Construction plans and Specifications
- Possess one or more specialized skills of the construction trade - carpentry, concrete, welding, etc.
- Willingness and ability to preform skilled construction duties following verbal and/or written instructions
- Must be in good physical condition in order to push, pull, carry objects and preform other tasks as assigned by site Superintendent
- Ability to operate basic equipment - forklift, skid loader, water pump, etc.
Responsibilities
- Performs tasks involving carpentry and physical labor at commercial construction sites
