Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, tools, and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship program (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial and industrial carpentry (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Familiarity with concrete formwork and scaffolding systems.
  • Knowledge of ADA requirements and commercial door/hardware standards.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as walls, partitions, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, cabinets, and frameworks.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and building plans to determine layout and work requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal studs, plywood, drywall, and other building materials.
  • Install framing, sheathing, blocking, and bracing for structural and non-structural applications.
  • Perform finish carpentry including trim, moldings, casework, cabinetry, and hardware installation.
  • Install and align doors, frames, windows, and associated hardware to ensure proper operation and fit.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively (saws, drills, nailers, levels, etc.).
  • Layout and verify dimensions using measuring tools, levels, squares, and lasers.
  • Coordinate work with other trades (electricians, plumbers, etc.) to ensure timely project completion.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including fall protection, PPE, and jobsite housekeeping standards.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with codes and specifications.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe conditions.
  • Complete daily reports, timesheets, and material usage documentation as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
