About The Position

Eleven Western Builders, a leading retail general contractor in California and the western United States since 1983, is seeking experienced carpenters. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely, and thrives in fast-paced retail environments. This role involves working independently, reading plans, and delivering high-quality work on retail construction and remodel projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to project locations and stay up to 2 weeks at a time, as project schedules require
• Commitment to jobsite safety and producing quality work

Nice To Haves

• Experience with retail, commercial, tenant improvement, or remodel construction preferred
• Strong skills in rough carpentry, framing, drywall, finish carpentry, millwork, and fixture installation

Responsibilities

• Installation of millwork, cabinetry, fixtures, displays, and décor packages
• Installation of wall panels, trim, doors, frames, hardware, and accessories
• Rough carpentry, framing, backing, and blocking
• Drywall installation, patching, and finishing
• Interior finish work and general carpentry tasks
• Layout and installation from drawings and project plans
• Working alongside other trades to keep projects moving safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work area
