Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Bridge and Highway Carpenter to join our construction team on projects throughout Missouri. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in concrete formwork, bridge construction, and highway infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in the successful and safe completion of our transportation projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter in bridge, highway, or heavy civil construction
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and regulations
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various outdoor conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites and willingness to travel is required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen, and background check.

• Valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble, and dismantle forms for concrete structures including bridges, highways, retaining walls, and culverts
• Install rebar, anchor bolts, and embed items accurately
• Cut, shape, and fasten wood, metal, and other materials using hand tools and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with setting and stripping forms, pouring concrete, and finishing surfaces as required
• Operate construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with foremen, engineers, and other crew members to ensure project timelines are met
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
