About The Position

Madden's is an award-winning resort seeking a full-time Carpenter to help repair and maintain all resort buildings. The resort is located on more than 1,000 acres and offers various amenities including golf, dining, a spa, tennis, activity programs, biking, shopping, and water recreation. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools
• Follow oral and/or written instructions
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.
• Ability to effectively manage time and complete all delegated work within the specified time.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
• Keeping a neat and orderly work area for efficiency and safety

Responsibilities

• Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim.
• Inspect exterior siding for damage or defect and replace where necessary.
• Perform minor roof repair.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of decks and railing, and repair or replace.
• Remove, construct and replace stairs.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding.
• Follow all company and government safety guidelines and requirements.
