About The Position

The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is searching for a new Carpenter to serve a crucial role on our Operations Team. Our Operations Team builds the houses and other specimens for Researchers to test and analyze what’s possible in the resiliency space. Your knowledge of installation, blueprints, and advance construction projects will help the team present a finished product on time and error free. If you enjoy carpentry work that is less than routine and captures the best a team can produce, this position may excite you! Knowledge of carpentry best practices and techniques

Responsibilities

Operating forklift equipment
Performing residential house carpentry tasks (framing, roofing, drywalling, painting, etc.)
Facility support activities
Keeping tools clean, sharp and ready, utilizing a PM strategy so each tool is ready for use when needed.
