About The Position

We are seeking an experienced carpenter to support ongoing renovation, refinishing, and facility improvement projects. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing existing structures, completing upgrades, and building custom solutions that improve the functionality and appearance of the ski area. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across a variety of projects, takes ownership of their work, and consistently follows tasks through to a high-quality finished product.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of carpentry experience, with a focus on renovation, repair, or finish work
  • Strong working knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
  • Ability to interpret plans, sketches, or verbal direction and execute accordingly
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with facility maintenance or property improvement projects
  • Finish carpentry experience
  • Framing experience
  • Working knowledge of additional trades (basic electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of carpentry tasks with an emphasis on repair, refinishing, and renovation of existing structures
  • Complete finish carpentry work including trim, fixtures, doors, and interior improvements
  • Execute small-scale construction and custom build projects to meet operational needs
  • Assess existing conditions and determine appropriate repair or improvement methods
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed to standard and within scope
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other teams to prioritize and complete work efficiently
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and functional work environment
  • Follow safety guidelines as described in the Accident Prevention Plan and as trained.
  • Report safety concerns directly to the department manager, Director of Mountain Operations, and General Manager as trained.
  • Actively participate in fostering a positive safety culture through words and actions.
