This position involves performing tasks related to carpentry and physical labor at commercial construction sites. Jobsites are in surrounding areas of Kearney, including Central City, York, Geneva, Hastings, Henderson, and Grand Island.
Requirements
- Possess one or more specialized skills of the construction trade - carpentry, concrete, welding, etc.
- Willingness and ability to preform skilled construction duties following verbal and/or written instructions
- Must be in good physical condition in order to push, pull, carry objects and preform other tasks as assigned by site Superintendent
- Ability to operate basic equipment - forklift, skid loader, water pump, etc.
- A General Knowledge of the Proper and safe use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction
- A General Knowledge of Various building types and construction methods
- A General Knowledge of Construction plans and Specifications
Responsibilities
- Performs tasks involving carpentry and physical labor at commercial construction sites
- Operates a variety of hand and power tools
- Assists or trains other construction workers as needed
