About The Position

Performance Contracting Group is hiring a Carpenter Apprentice to perform skilled carpentry work in commercial, industrial, and non-residential construction. Work may include constructing, installing, erecting, maintaining, fabricating, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures, architectural woodwork, millwork, trim, concrete forms, metal and wood framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings. The role includes on-the-job training and is safety-sensitive. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to perform basic math.
Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and working outside.
Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform carpentry work in the construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of structures and fixtures.
Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.
Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
Complete assigned carpentry tasks with quality workmanship.
Operate power and manual tools and equipment used in carpentry.
Perform heavy physical labor.
Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Perform job duties and associated work functions attentively and safely.
Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen.
