About The Position

The Company B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. Position Carpenter, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Superintendent, Project Operations, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Requirements

Five (5) years’ experience as a Carpenter in an industrial, construction, or remote mining environment with limited access to resources.
Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate or a Nunvut Certificate of Qualification (CoQ) is required.
Experience with small equipment such as AWP’s, skid steers, telehandlers.

Responsibilities

Construct and maintain wooden structures such as beams, platforms, walls, ceilings, and equipment housings to ensure safe and efficient site operations. This includes building and repairing site infrastructure such as wooden platforms, walkways, stairs, handrails, cribbing, barriers, shoring and bracing, frames and posts for site signage, and temporary or protective shelters.
Perform layout and formwork for concrete installations in compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power tools, following blueprints and technical specifications; install metal roofing and cladding systems for structural stability and weather proofing.
Complete interior construction tasks including drywall, insulation, flooring, trim work, and other finishing activities.
Repair and maintain existing structures, diagnose issues, recommend major repairs, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and building codes.
Maintain organized work areas and site logistics, including material handling, debris disposal, vehicle operation, and accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
