About The Position

QXO is seeking experienced Carpenters for residential production builder projects across the Chicago suburban market. This role involves performing various carpentry tasks, including framing, exterior and interior trim, deck construction, roof sheathing, and back-out work. The ideal candidate will work closely with Foremen and field leadership to ensure high-quality production and maintain project schedules. This position offers opportunities for overtime and is based on active residential construction projects in the west and southwest suburbs of Chicago.

Requirements

Experience in residential carpentry, with specialization in: exterior trim, decks, framing, interior trim, roof sheathing, or back-out
Ability to work directly with and take direction from Foremen and field leadership
Strong ability to work independently and produce quality work
Experience using hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, roofs, and elevated work surfaces
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move materials (up to 75 lbs; heavier materials require team lifting assistance)
Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and construction environments
May require overtime or extended hours based on project schedules

Responsibilities

Perform residential framing, exterior trim, interior trim, deck construction, roof sheathing, and back-out work
Partner closely with Foremen to execute daily build plans and maintain production pace
Execute work with high quality, efficiency, and consistency
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Support crews in meeting project schedules and build timelines
