About The Position

NOW Courier, a leader in logistics, is seeking dependable and enthusiastic Contract Delivery Drivers with a passion for customer service to join their fleet. This role involves covering various open routes, breakdowns, and overflow assignments across the region, offering flexibility in scheduling while emphasizing top-notch service. New drivers will receive expert guidance. The position requires drivers to be at least 21 years of age, possess a smartphone, a suitable vehicle (2013 or newer, cargo van or sprinter preferred), a valid driver's license, and commercial insurance with a minimum of $300,000 combined single limit liability. A comprehensive pre-employment screening, including a driving history review, criminal background check, and drug screening, is mandatory.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a smartphone capable of running the driver app.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Have commercial insurance coverage with a minimum of $300,000 combined single limit liability.
• Successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment process including a driving history review (past 36 months), criminal background check, and substance abuse screening.
• Vehicle must be a 2013 model year or newer, suitable for delivery, in good working condition, maintain a professional appearance, be rust-free, and pass a multi-point vehicle inspection.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver cargo to customers on time.
• Use GPS and mapping software to chart and follow efficient routes.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and dispatchers, providing real-time updates and addressing issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, secure cargo properly, and use appropriate safety gear.
• Provide excellent customer service, handle questions, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Quickly address unexpected issues such as traffic or incorrect addresses.
