About The Position

This role involves screening cargo using various methods and inspecting credentials to ensure security within the warehouse. Depending on the specific position, duties may also include taking inventory of equipment. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including the possibility of alternating shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends, with the ability to work additional hours on short notice during irregular operations. The position also involves reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances, as well as answering questions and assisting passengers and employees. Air-side driving and escort duties may also be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have a valid Security D License
• Must have a valid Driver License
• All Security Officers must be U.S Citizen
• Must have security experience or demonstrated relevant skills
• Ability to speak and understand English professionally
• Must be able to pass all pre-requisites to obtain SIDA badge
• Must pass a criminal background check as well as a drug screen prior to employment
• Ability to work in a teamwork environment and delegate tasks
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Must have professional appearance and adhere to company grooming/uniform policy
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends, and be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis
• Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations
• Ability to speak and be understood, hear, and comprehend the English language
• Stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift approximately 50 pounds
• Able to relocate in the event of an emergency
• Have a neat and professional appearance

Responsibilities

• Screening cargo using various screening methods
• Inspecting everyone's credentials before allowing them into the warehouse
• Taking inventory of equipment
• Reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing
• Watching for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Completing forms and documents and preparing daily reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Answering questions and assisting passengers and employees
• Performing air-side driving and escort
• Other tasks as required
