About The Position

Pacific Aviation is seeking qualified personnel to oversee and monitor ramp operations for each flight, ensuring full compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements. This role involves reviewing flight details, coordinating with stakeholders, conducting inspections, and monitoring all ramp activities from aircraft arrival to pushback. The position requires meticulous attention to detail for documentation and reporting, as well as professionalism and flexibility to adapt to flight schedules.

Requirements

  • Professional etiquette, behavior, and courtesy.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • An eye for detail for completing documentation.
  • Flexibility with shifts, as work is not bound by regular 9-5 schedule.
  • Flexible with shifts as work is dependent upon flight schedules. Shifts may vary - early morning, afternoon, or evening (graveyard) with 24 - to 36-hour advance notification.
  • Available to work a minimum of 5 to 6 days per week (including weekends and holidays).
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate (verbal and written).
  • Possess and maintain a valid California driver's license in good standing to drive company vehicle.
  • Able to work in warm and cold weather, outdoors on tarmac.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States of America (USA).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor ramp operations for each flight, ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review flight details, load plans, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and the operations team.
  • Conduct Foreign Object Debris (FOD) checks.
  • Inspect equipment readiness and serviceability.
  • Verify all ramp checklist requirements.
  • Inspect ULDs for airworthiness compliance.
  • Monitor aircraft arrival and block-in, loading and unloading operations, cargo handling processes, fuel truck movement, and aircraft pushback.
  • Record and report key milestones such as landing time, block-in time, start and completion of unloading and loading.
  • Monitor the safe execution of loading/unloading operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Aerocharter safety standards.
  • Verify proper use of equipment and procedures.
  • Oversee marshalling activities.
  • Ensure adherence to loading instructions.
  • Complete Ramp Checklists.
  • Prepare and submit Flight Reports.
  • Match actual loading against load plans.
  • Document irregularities or incidents.
  • Capture photos of key operational stages, including loading/unloading process, ULD condition, equipment usage, safety compliance activities, completed Ramp Checklist, detailed Flight Report, time-stamped operational logs, and incident/irregularity reports.
  • Adhere to all Company and client airline policies and procedures.
  • Follow all FAA/Airline/Company regulations and guidelines.
  • Keep supervisor informed of all needs and problems in assigned areas; report any maintenance needs.
  • Use appropriate communication channels, maintain records, reports, and files as required.
  • Maintain an eye for detail in order to complete airport, airline, and company documentation.
  • Organize and prioritize work to ensure the most pressing tasks are completed.
  • Maintain flexibility with shifts and adjust to operational needs.
  • Attend meetings as required.
