About The Position

As a Screener at Alliance Ground International (AGI), you will play a vital role in ensuring export cargo is screened in compliance with TSA regulations, airline requirements, and company policies. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be able to pass TSA background checks and security clearances.
Ability to obtain and maintain required security certifications.
If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in security or cargo screening is preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify and stop prohibited items in cargo from transport to ensure compliance with TSA and airline regulations.
Verify that cargo documents are accurately declared and match the physical piece count and contents.
Conduct screening using a variety of methods, including physical search, ETD (Explosives Trace Detection), and X-ray.
Prepare and maintain required reports, forms, and records as mandated by TSA regulations and company procedures.
Report any suspicious items, activities, or irregularities to management to determine the appropriate course of action.
Operate and maintain security screening equipment, ensuring all tools are functioning correctly.
Collaborate with warehouse and cargo operations teams to ensure smooth handling and timely processing of screened cargo.
Stay updated on TSA policies and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions while at work.
Cooperate with their manager/supervisor to ensure compliance with any legal requirements imposed on the company.
Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager/supervisor, who will then follow the procedures outlined in company policies.
Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific safety or security rules or procedures.
Fully understand AGI’s Health, Safety, and Security policies.
Attend training courses as required by AGI.
