The Cargo Logistics Agent (CLA) at Pegasus Aviation Services performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment’s bonding and storage plan. Work involves verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, and removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. This worker may operate forklifts, hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. The Forklift Operator operates a manually controlled diesel, electric, or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds about a warehouse, or other establishment. The CLA will also be required to run freight and mail to and from the aircraft, the post office, and the warehouse facility. Loading and unloading of cargo on a daily basis is to be expected. The CLA position is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under supervisory direction or guidance of the Director, Passenger and Cargo Services.
