The Cargo Agent will be responsible for compiling documents, performing data entry for import and export shipments, and interpreting aircraft loading instructions, hazardous material labels, and cargo routing information. Key duties include expediting cargo from the warehouse, assisting customers with shipment tracking, notifying consignees about arrival dates and customs requirements, and entering billing transactions. The position also requires authorizing cargo release, managing export cargo acceptance, assisting customers at the front counter with pick-up and delivery requests, preparing invoices, working with government agencies for customs clearance, exchanging documents for flights, recognizing dangerous goods, and completing mandatory training. Other duties as assigned.
